Fellowship of Communion

Members of several ACTS Churches line up to prepare to receive Communion during a joint Pentecost Sunday Service. ACTS enters into fellowship with the family of God at a deeper level as they share in the Communion experience. The Meaning of Communion (The Lord’s Supper) The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of what Jesus did in the past, a symbol of our present relationship with him, and a …

Praying in One Accord

ACTS Churches join forces on 2013 Pentecost Sunday to unite in prayer on behalf of the city and our nation. Welcome to ACTS

A.C.T.S. (Akron Community for the Transformation of Society) is a network of churches and leaders seeking unity and transformation in the city of Akron and Northeast Ohio.

We gather to follow the model of prayer, communion, fasting, and fellowship of the early church as depicted in the Book of Acts. (See Acts 2:42-47)

“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

Dr. David Eckman’s recent “Becoming What God Intended” teaching sessions at River of Life Community Church are available to watch online:

Dr. Eckman brings new perspective and understanding to the Trinity; understanding the relationship between God the Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit, and how their eternal relationship affects our lives and personal relationship with God.
